Only in English (with products available in Denmark)

As promised on Instagram (way to long ago), this post is a guide to which supplements I take at the moment and why.
It is meant as a guideline or as inspiration, but remember that everybody is different and that you should always supplement according to personal needs. Also, always consult a doctor to get a blood test, if you think that you might be insufficient in any essential vitamins or minerals. Furthermore, I will link products available in Denmark as I live here and buy most of my products here. But my hope is that you can use the information, and maybe google the supplements to find similar products available where you live. For the American and Canadian people, I recommend Medical Medium supplement list. None of this is advertisement, it's simply just supplements that I like and that works for me.
So what do I take?

Vegan Multivitamin
I have used the Spektro Veg Multi-Vita-Min from Solaray for some moths now and I think it works for me. What I like about this product is that it is made specially for people with a vegan or vegetarian diet and therefore contains more B12, vitamin D and C, zinc and selenium compared to Solarays conventional multi vitamin. Additionally, this supplement comes in capsules, which makes it easier to absorb the vitamins and minerals.
BONUS INFORMATION: The capsules are pretty easy to open and pour out in a glass of water, if you don't like swallowing pills.

Vegan B12 (Methylcobalalmin)
I take B12 (methylcobalalmin) too, because my diet is vegan (but you probably know by now) and this kind is easier to absorb. I like the Vegetable B12 from Dansk farmaceutisk industri a-s. The body doesn’t need to convert methylcobalalmin to use it and the absorption is therefore higher and easier on the liver. Vitamin B12 is essential for both the nervous system, the metabolic function, the production of energy from carbohydrates, fats, and proteins, for red blood cell production, and for DNA synthesis.

Zinc
I take extra zinc as well, as it is an important mineral for both our immune system, skin, nails, hair and bones. But it is also an important mineral when battling any kind of virus or bacteria. I like the product called Bio-Zink from Pharma Nord, as it has a high bioavailability, which means that it is easily absorbed. I believe the brand is Danish.

Selenium + Zinc
I take the one from Pharma Nord called Bio Selen + Zink every other day instead of the vegan multivitamin to switch things up a bit (I take the B12 methylcobalalmin and bio-zinc every day). It also contains vitamin A, B and C, which, which along with zinc, helps sustain a healthy immune system. But also vitamin E, which helps protect the cells from oxidative stress.

Spirulina
I add spirulina to my smoothie every day, as it contains both complex carbohydrates, proteins (for growth and cell generation), iron, vitamin A, K and B complex. The iron in spirulina is easier for the body to absorb than any iron supplements, which makes spirulina a good supplement for everyone struggling to keep their iron on a healthy level. Spirulina furthermore suppresses bad bacteria while stimulating good bacteria in the gut, promoting healthy digestion. Healthy gut flora increases the body’s ability to absorb nutrients and helps protect against infection. Spirulina also contains unique phytonutrients, including chlorophyll, phycocyanin and polysaccharides, that can help cleanse the body from toxins and toxic heavy metals. Additionally, spirulina helps restore brain tissue and rebuilds the central nervous system, while also being an amazing supplement to stabilize glucose levels in the blood.
It truly is a "super food" and helps with so much more than what I mentioned here. Go to this article to learn more about the healing benefits of spirulina.
I hope you find all of this helpful! Let me know what you think in the comments below.
